Triggered – A Conversation With Director Jessica Mathis (aka Divinity Rose) from Sharon Gissy on Vimeo.

Triggered is a powerful project, featuring a collection of animated stories from women with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

This project will educate and raise awareness and empathy regarding the recognition and understanding of PTSD in three phases.

Phase 1 (Completed) A collection of animated stories from 10 women with PTSD. Each 2 minute story tells what triggers the women, what happens when they’re triggered, the type of treatment that’s helped them or how they’ve learned to cope.

(All women who were interviewed about their PTSD remain anonymous and are portrayed by actresses.)

Phase 2 (Planned): A proof of concept mini doc short or web series to submit to festivals to raise funding for a feature length documentary or series.

Phase 3 (Planned): A feature length documentary or series about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
